My name is
Kat (Kathrine actually), I'm 20 years old and I study design at a university in Denmark.
I'm Danish,
not going to lie and I grew up in a small town close to Copenhagen. My parents
have always taken my brother and I to exiting places all over the world, and
I've always loved it! We have never done the two weeks on a beach in Thailand -
why travel across the world just to lie on a beach? There's defiantly some
places closer to Denmark where you can do that! So we've always seen stuff,
tried the local food and still managed to relax and get a tan.

Last year I
went to Laos for four months as a part of my gap year, I lived with the local,
learned some of the language, had a "job" and had an everyday life
there. I loved it, and since I came back, I haven't been able to settle down in
Denmark. But even though I would love to travel like all year long, I kind of
still want an education and yeah - money for travelling!
So right
now I live the glamorous life of an university student, in a small studio
apartment away from old friends and family - and even further away from my new
friends who are spread all over the world.
So I guess
my point with this post is that this blog will be my escape from the real
world. A way to remember old times, share new adventures and maybe even share a
few tips and tricks. And no worries, I will leave Denmark later this year - and
I will share it..
